The Brothers Bloom is a brand new movie about the world’s best con men. This new comedy features an award winning group of actors that bring a much needed sense of fun to this type of film. The brothers decide to embark on a final ‘super con’ before they finally decide to hang up their spurs and coast in to retirement.

In the crazy mad world of the Brothers Bloom, absolutely nothing is ever quite as it seems. The brothers have swindled many fortunes over many years, but before they go in to retirement, they decide to undertake their biggest job ever – to lure a beautiful heiress in to a global and very lucrative plot.

Throughout their lives the brothers have relied solely on their own devices. From the time they were fostered in to care homes as children, up until today as wealthy confidence tricksters, they have shared everything equally. I’m really looking forward to being able to watch The Brothers Bloom for free, this is the type of movie I love and it’s guaranteed to get me belly laughing.

Because one of the brothers, Bloom, is keen to quit the business, he agrees to undertake one final scam by developing a ‘relationship’ with a bored heiress played by Rachel Wiesz. But as a genuine romance begins to form, Bloom becomes reluctant to take advantage of her. By this stage though, Wiesz’s character is hooked on the thrills and it becomes difficult to back out.

The movie has been written and is directed by Rian Johnson who was responsible for Brick and Looper. The cast is made up of several Oscar winners and the Academy Award nominated Rinko Kikuchi who starred in Babel and The Taste of Tea. The Oscar winners in the cast are Rachel Weisz who won for her part in The Constant Gardener, and Adrien Brody who won for his role in the movie The Pianist.

The movie is due for a limited release on May 15th, and a release to a much wider audience a couple of weeks later on the 29th. If you are a fan of the romantic comedy you will really ‘get’ this film, so it would be a shame if you let it be one of those movies that you catch up with in a year or so when it has been out on DVD for ages – it is worth catching first time round.
