Great Low Cost Headphones – Sennheiser Rs120 Wireless Headphones Review
If you accidentally hit one of the balance buttons, you can hold down both balance buttons at the same time to reset. Oh, and one other potential drawback: they make the wearer look like a total dork.
It fits comfortably on the ears for hours of use without discomfort. The AGC works VERY WELL indeed. You will hear bullets in front of you, behind you, and to your right. They are great headphones and no regrets. I had original purchased the Sennheiser RS120 but wasn’t thrilled with the lack of bass, volume levels and interference issues.
I am very pleased with them and would recommend this model as they are updated and perfected to give the buyer a good quality for the $. The week I purchased them they were 50.00 less in price and I don’t know how I lucked out, but I paid under 300.00. They do not dwell on the surround sound capability. But, I have found the surround sound to be incredible. I listen to music mostly, so wanted something that was highly rated for it. I have to say, I’m very impressed with the sound quality of these.
SACD were demoed both as 2-channel & Multi-channel. The initial impression with the RS 180′s is their extreme musicality.
I’m impressed by the clarity and ‘crispness’ of the sound and good reproduction of lower frequencies. Comfortable to wear even for an extended time – easy to set up and use Cons: – power button on base station difficult to operate with one hand. The only thing coming through the headphones is a beautiful reproduction of the source material. The sound coming through these FAR surpasses anything coming out of my VIZIO Class XVT Series TruLED XVT472SV 47-Inch 240 Hz SPS LCD HDTV (Black). However, the headphones and base don’t seem to be constructed with particularly high-quality materials. The plastic feels light and thin — which could be a positive, but makes me, wonder whether they could break easily. Inside the house I get about 30 to 40 feet before it starts cutting out. House was built in the 70′s and there’s not a lot of internal wall insulation.
Plus, I have had since initial release and still don’t know what the ALC button does, I’m sure it is some gimmick. Worst of all, the thing flashes the power light all the time whether on or off. The surround sounds are incredible. It makes watching movies with outstanding sound tracks a real treat. Overall I am happy with the headphones performance. All of these are minor since I wanted quality, comfortable headphones. This is where the warm fuzzies of these headphones really paid off. In this casual close-mic setting I felt as if I was actually there & had to resist the urge several times to turn around & “see” the rest of the crowd.
I will not let them get broken again. If you are on a tight budget looking for headphones to record and/or monitor recordings with, then they are the ideal choice. RF WIRELESS HEADPHONES. I needed headphones for work. I purchased these to listen to music on my small Ipod and play games. B HEADPHONES.
