Great Sound For A Small Budget – Wireless Headphones For Computer Review

The kids are blessed with excellent hearing, while mine has been sub-standard most of my life. My wife and kids were constantly telling me to turn the volume down.

All three buttons are in a 1 1/2 by 3/8 inch space with almost no way to feel which button you want. Not an easy task for any fingers, much less older fingers. Guys if you are ever banished to the Man Cave and still catch hell for the TV or movie being up too loud……worry no more. I realize they are a lot of money (I managed to get mine for under $230) but I think in the long run they are going to be worth every penny. If they’re in a completely different room with a closed door, you might be able to. I haven’t heard any complaints about that, but lifting them off my head, I can tell they’re definitely broadcasting the music outwards quite a bit. My biggest gripe is the range. Advertised 320′, which is quite a long ways.

These headphones were meant to be multi-purpose: music, primarily classical, New Age, contemporary (a wide range), as well as TV. There is nowhere I can go in my home where I can make it drop out, or even produce any noise/static, including down my driveway to my mailbox.

The rechargeable batteries last a really long time, and charge very quickly. The base station is stylish, and the charge mechanism is really easy (there are three contact points on the top, and when you rest your headphones on top, it charges them).

If you’re going out jogging for miles, don’t take anything for granted. Take in mind the open design though; if you’re in the same room as someone who’s planning on sleeping, you can’t turn these up too high. The size of the buttons and their labeling are so small that anyone over 40 will have serious issues about using them. I use the earphones to watch TV while my wife is using the regular TV speakers. I get both sounds but at slightly different moments in time. Very comfortable and out on patio with great volume. The grandkids can I watch TV.

The setup and daily use could be easier (the status light blinks differently depending on what the status of the device/headphones is), and the headphones don’t fit comfortably on my ears. I have another Sennheiser set (PC 360) and those fit very comfortably, but the ear cups on the RS 180 are smaller and oddly shaped, and may not fit comfortably on your head at first.

Setup was quick and easy. The base station charges the headphones when you place them on top, which I do at the end of the day. Once opened, it’s clear that the makers thought of everything; from the various country-specific power adapters, to the cord organizer. You will not be left wanting with these headphones. And, most importantly, the sound is absolutely amazing. There’s no extraneous background noise at all: no hissing, no hums, no snaps, crackles, or pops.

If you don’t want to use them in bed while your partner/spouse is sleeping, these will do all right. I choose to try it out. infrared wireless headphones. Not at all something you should wear while moving around. Midrange and treble detail is good enough to reveal shortcomings in the mp3s. SOUND PROOF HEADPHONES.
