How can I submit my song lyrics for money?
kuni_and_aivy asked:
I am looking for some way to make some money on the side, one way I thought would be selling some poems and song lyrics I have wrote! If anyone knows anywhere I can do this, or some way I would be most thrilled!

look for a cheap agent. then get money and get a real agent!
I would get them copyrighted first, or else if you send ‘em, they could use them and not give you anything for it. Moreover, they could claim that it is their original idea. So, a copyright is first off, and that costs money.
i dont really know but maybe you should get them copyrighted first
First be sure to copyright your material. Register through ASCAP or BMI to make your writings ‘visible’ to others that are in the business and are looking for new talent. If you are near a city that has a recording studio, try to get your ‘foot in the door’ there; you may be able to get hooked up with someone looking for a good lyrics writer. You do not have to aim for a star either…there are a lot of good start-ups looking for good material to work with. Even the big stars had to start somewhere.
There are many places you see on the net or in magazines. Like the ones that say “Send us your lyrics and we will set them to music.
I have read warnings on this. They just set your lyrics to the same tune that someone else’s lyrics are set to also
I was told by a co-author of Elvis’s Heartbreak Hotel. Never ever pay anyone for your songs, They should pay you.
I wish you luck in your endeavor.
You’ll not get money for submitting lyrics on a website….
Forget it….
