How do I get my music from itunes on my old computer to my new computer?
JustVater asked:
I have itunes on my old computer and I spent hours of editing the music titles so everything is spelled correctly. Now I bought a new computer. How do I get all my music over to my new computer with all of the corrections?

copy to a flash drive and insert into new comp
u can get all the songs from ur old comp onto a cd then put that cd into ur new comp and copy the files out
Either an external harddrive (flash drives and CDs won’t have enough space… a few DVDs might work, depending on how much music you have), or connect both computers to your home network, make both Music folders shared, and open the folder from your old computer on the new computer – this will work regardless of how much music you have.
make a backup cd
iTunes does not provide a means to do this easily.
Spend a little more time moving all the music to one main folder with your desired subfolders. iTunes does not change the actual file names. Export the filename data to a text file (see iTunes HELP). Copy your music to media or use an export Wizard or network copy or whatever you prefer.
Print out your iTunes MP3 name data.
Use TagTuner to edit your actual MP3 files.
Assuming its not a mac, which will walk you through and transfer it all automatically;
be sure when you are copying files that you copy the music library file too. And to put it in the same spot on the new machine. Can’t promise it will all work though…
you can check out the iTunes support site; there is a windows specific section to help.
The easiest,safest nad fastest way I know is by using a USB memory stick. If you don’t have any, go buy one!Someof them are really cheap.Plus, a USB stick can always be useful in trensferring data.
All you’ll have to do is copy-paste on the stick and copy paste on the new computer!
i – tunes has saved your changes at the file names and by transferring them this way, you won’t risk missing any data.
