How do I transfer my itunes music from an external hard drive to my new computer?

ma4jc asked:

My computer died a few weeks ago and I was able to save most of my stuff to an external hard drive. I got my new computer and I’d like to transfer my music to the new computer. How do I do that? Also, I’d like to pick and choose what I transfer. Thanks in advance!

go to file>add to library and just select the entire folder, and it will put everything in there

If your wanting to copy those files to your new computer go to my computer and open the external drive(probably drive F or G) and highlight all the songs and drag them into the “My Music” folder in my documents on your new computer. Then open itunes and drag all the songs from your “My Music” folder onto iTunes and it will put them in your library.
