How To Dance Cha Cha-It Is An Absolute Blast
The show, “Dancing with the Stars” has brought ballroom dancing back in a big way. Women have always been entranced by its gracefulness and beauty, but the popularity of the show and some of the contestants that have been involved have gotten the message through to even the most resistant that any man or woman can be a good ballroom dancer. If you are interested in this style of dancing, but would prefer to learn one of the dances that are a little less formal, you may want to learn how to dance cha cha.
If you are not familiar with Cha Cha, it is associated mostly with Latin dancing, but is actually fairly flexible. One thing is for sure though, it is an absolute blast to dance to and pretty easy to learn.
To start the Cha Cha, you will want to assume the natural dancing position opposite of your partner. Wait for the music to begin and focus on the rhythm. When you are ready to go, move your left foot back and to the left. Then you will rock up on your left foot as you are simultaneously stepping back with your right foot. Now you step forward with your right foot and then move your left foot forward so that it right next to your right foot.
To complete the next Cha Cha step, you are going to go the opposite way by moving your right foot forward and to the right. Take your left foot forward and rock your heel as you do this. Now step back with your right foot, move your left foot back and bring the right foot next to it.
Guess what? You just did the Cha Cha! Some of the moves may have sounded a little confusing, but these are all just basic steps in ballroom dancing. Learn them all, and you can do any dance you want! Each style of dance has its own combination of moves, but they are all rooted in these basic steps.
It is always a little easier to figure this stuff out if you can actually see what you are being told to do. As live instruction can get a little expensive, so you may want to purchase some learn how to dance cha cha videos to help explain the moves in greater detail.
Seeing how a dance step is executed is usually a lot more effective than just reading about it. You can learn how to dance cha cha quickly and once you get these steps down, you are ready to head out to the club and strut your stuff! After that first dance, all your friends will be lining up to find out how you did it.
