Ideas For Theme Party
The summer is here and you’re thinking of throwing a party for your family and friends. Your party will be much more memorable and in many ways successful if you make it a theme party. Take a look at the following ideas for a theme party to inspire you:
1. Cocktail Party – The cocktail party was traditionally the before part of a dinner party, but has evolved to become a party in its own right.
Budget dependant, you could hire a qualified cocktail waiter to mix some fancy cocktails for your guests. Otherwise you could have cocktail stations with menus for your guests to make their own, very fun! The event should be black tie and red or black dress for the ladies.
2. Mexican Party – A Mexican theme party is an opportunity to dance, sing and eat Mexican food. You should provide plenty of choice, providing lots of tacos and tortillas. Place a variety of beef and chilli dishes for your guests to pick and choose what they want. For drink, provide lots of Corona and lime and of course Tequila.
3. Masquerade Party – Originating in 15th century Venice, Masquerade parties are now popular around the world. The whole idea is to hide your identity by using a mask. You should dress in the most outlandish and flamboyant costume imaginable. The food and drink should be high class.
4. Toga Party – The heart and soul of this theme is obviously the toga. This can essentially be a white bed sheet wrapped round you 1.5 times with the end thrown over your shoulder. To top off the costume, wear sandals and leaf laurels. This theme is very easy and inexpensive to throw.
5. Superhero – Dress up in superhero outfits (this may be your only chance) and hire a smoke machine for the entrance. Make your invitations out of colored paper making sure to cut them out into a Superman logo shape. Play superhero movies on a loop.
