Kenny Chesney To play Charleston Concert

Kenny Chesney has left little doubt after almost two decades that he’s here to stay as a country music superstar. Even though his debut album from Capricorn Records, “In My Wildest Dreams” was released to little fanfare, Kenny had some success from the albums and has gone on to release twelve more albums to wild success.

Eleven of Kenny’s first thirteen albums were not only proof of his staying power, but were commercially successful, garnering him certified gold from the RIAA. Even though his first debut only sold 10,00 albums from the independent Capricorn Records label, two singles from the album, “The Tin Man” and “Whatever It Takes” brushed the Hot Country Singles & Tracks Billboard charts. Unfortunately, within the year, Capricorn decided to no longer publish country music and Kenny had to move on.

Today, Kenny Chesney has released more than thirty top ten country hits, and that includes seventeen that made it all the way to the number one spot. With four consecutive AMC Entertainer of the Year Awards under his belt and six CMA awards, there’s no doubt he’s a country music powerhouse. In 2007, his summer tour was the top grossing country music tour of the year.

Seventeen of Kenny’s songs have hit number one, and his 2007 summer tour was the highest grossing country music tour of the year. One hit record is amazing; two is incredible. Seventeen is downright unbelievable.

Making his way to Nashville, which is just north of his hometown and east of his collegiate home, Kenny Chesney worked the music scene in the famed Music City, looking to capture a piece of his dream of a career in music.

Although his first ‘official’ release was in 1994, he actually recorded a record in 1989 in Virginia which he sold at his various gigs.

Kenny’s success has proven again and again that he’s truly a country music star, with smash successes in tour ticket sales and a huge list of number one singles that any musician would be proud of.

The 2009 tour includes a show on September 12 in Charleston, South Carolina, at the North Charleston Coliseum. This tour is one of the mega tours of the country music summer season with tour dates all across the United States and Canada.

This year’s tour includes a stop on September 12 in Charleston, South Carolina at the the North Charleston Coliseum. Kenny’s tour’s include big dates across the United States and Canada, but the South Carolina show is expected to be one of the best, with country music fans coming not far from Kenny’s home. This year’s tour is named the Sun City Carnival Tour.

Kenny’s success might not have been overnight, but he’s proved that he’s here to stay. His concerts are huge successes and his awards, top ten hits and scores of number one singles prove that he’s one of country’s modern superstars.
