Lady Antebellum’s Song “Need You Now”, Voted Worst Break Up Song
Going through a break up is a horrible emotional experience. If you have ever heard the song “Need You Now” by Lady Antebellum, if you haven’t I suggest giving it a listen, it’s a fantastic song. In the song the characters are going through all the pain of a break up and making a lot of mistakes.
Here’s a line from the song: “It’s a quarter after one, I’m all alone and I need you now. Said I wouldn’t call but I lost all control and I need you now.” Rule number one, Stop The Desperate Dialing!
Another line from the song is: “It’s a quarter after one, I’m a little drunk and I need you now.” Mistake number 2, drunk dialing. Another mistake we make in vulnerable break up state is to text the ex. And text, and text, and text. Don’t! Texting terrorism has never worked and never will.
What do you do if you want to get your ex back?
Be truthful with yourself and ask yourself this question: Do I absolutely want my ex back? Take hard look at everything here and make sure the true love is really there and this is not just a reaction to being alone or feeling by your self.
If you answered with a confident, yes I want my ex back! Then there is a process to follow.
You Will Not Want To Do What Is Expected
Being predictable is the last the last thing you want to be at a this time. You want to keep your ex guessing and working to worm his or her way back into your good graces. Keep them on their toes and he’ll keep coming back for more.
What can you do to keep from doing what is expected? Put an end to those daily habits. Chances are doing the same ol’ same ol’ is what got you here in the first place. It’s time to add something fresh and exciting to your routine.
Put Some Relationship Goals in Place
Even if you are separated goals can still be set. When you are trying to get your ex back, the goals are a vital part of the process. Goals should be set for different degrees of closeness and affection between the two of you and then achieving those goals is key.
Goals you might want to consider include: making physical changes, reaching emotional milestones, and controlling your temper just to get started. You’ll have to find goals that are more appropriate to you and the type of relationship you had together.
Make Sure You Hold Yourself Accountable For Both Your Success And Failures
Accountability, lately seems to be in short supply. Hold yourself accountable for failing to meet goals. As well as rewarding yourself when goals have been triumphantly met.
The best two motivators are reward and punishment. They can be used as tools. Some rewards that you might choose: a new video game (if that’s your thing), a new hair style (if that’s your thing) or a fun night out with friends. You want to do stuff that assures an active lifestyle. Activity will keep you healthier, you do not want to complicate all that is happening with health issues.
