Nikon D70s Digital SLR Camera ” An Update of Nikon D70 Camera
Nikon D70s Digital SLR Camera, an upgrade to the Nikon D70, is sporting additional features and capabilities as well as beautifully designed menus. Compared to the Nikon D70 digital SLR camera, it comes with a larger LCD monitor and improved auto focus accuracy. It uses a newer battery pack, the EN-EL3e, which offers slightly higher capacity. It also has a slightly wider flash coverage.
Nikon D70s Digital SLR Camera features 2 inches or 50 millimeters LCD color monitor. It is a little larger than the 1.8 inches (46 millimeters) LCD monitor of the Nikon D70 digital SLR camera. However, both the Nikon D70 and Nikon D70s have 130,000 pixels.
It also features an increased 18 mm angle of coverage from its built-in flash. This is better as the flash in the Nikon D70 can only be used with lenses as wide as 20 mm. The built-in flash, which pops up automatically, is synchronized to a shutter speed of up to 1/500 seconds.
Its sensitivity ranges from 200 to 1600 ISO. It also has the 5-area autofocus system, which features a cross-type sensor as well as broad frame coverage. To give you a maximum performance when shooting in low light condition, an AF-assist illuminator was included. It has a low light detection feature for better focus tracking.
Nikon D70s digital SLR camera can be used with wired and cable-free remote control. It is compatible with the MC-DC1 remote cord and ML-L3 wireless remote control. For easy connectivity or direct printing, you can use a USB interface with the Nikon Capture (Version 4.2). The USB interface is also compatible with PictBridge printers.
The start-up time of this camera is a 0.2 seconds and it features a shutter speed of 30 to 1/8000 seconds. With Nikon D70, you can shoot up to 3 frames per second and 144 JPEG images with continuous burst.
It utilizes a 1,005-pixel sensor. In addition, it features 3D Color Matrix Metering, which enables the camera to produce images with accurate exposure. This metering system measures color, contrast, brightness and distance for each shot. You can also compare results with the 30,000 actual images available in its database.
It comes with a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that offers higher capacity. The EN-EL3e can deliver the power to shoot up to 2,500 images on a single charge. The higher the capacity of the battery, the more quality images you can have.
Like all other Nikon digital SLR cameras, Nikon D70s employs the Nikon DX format sensor and the Nikon F lens mount design. This enables it to use the other AF and DX Nikkor lenses, which gives you more options and versatility.
Nikon D70s Digital SLR Camera features the good qualities that the Nikon D70 digital SLR camera offers. The excellent image quality, high performance and user friendliness of the D70 were all inherited by the D70s. And on top of that, the Nikon D70s was designed with additional refinements that will help you capture images more effectively. All of these features make shooting more efficient and enjoyable.
