Abbott and Costello in the Foreign Legion: Unexceptional movie sees Abbott and Costello battle the mean sergeant Slezak. Best scene involves shenanigans in the desert. Bud Abbott, Lou Costello, Patricia Medina, Walter Slezak, and Douglas Dumbrille star. (1950 Comedy)

Hannibal Brooks: Delightful yet forgettable film of British prisoner of war Reed ordered to take a priceless elephant to the Munich Zoo during WW2. Made to go on foot, he turns trip into a plan to make an escape. Cast includes Oliver Reed, Michael J. Pollard, Wolfgang Preiss, Helmut Lohner, Karin Baal, and Peter Karsten. (101 minutes, 1969)

Eragon: Eragon is poor young boy trying to help keep his family fed. When he finds a shiny blue stone he thinks it might bring food to the tables. The stone turns out to be an egg, a dragon egg. Eragon and this dragon were destined to be together. Now they will go on great adventures together.

Stagecoach: One of the awesome American films, and a landmark in the aging of the Western, balancing personality research as distinct passengers voyage together on the identical stagecoach and peerless action in a long Indian assault, characterizing Yakima Canutt’s renowned-stunt work. Additionally, this is the film that launched John Wayne to authentic stardom. Mitchell won an Oscar as the intoxicated physician, as did the music score. Script by Dudley Nichos, from Ernest Haycox’s tale “Level to Lordsburg” whose structure is comparable to Man de Maupassant’s Boule de Suif. Cast includes Claire Trevor, John Wayne, Andy Devine, John Carradine, Thomas Mitchell, Tim Holt, Tom Tyer, and Jack Pennick. (96 minutes, 1939)

History of the World: Numerous visitor megastars; depicted by Orson Welles. Scattershot comedy drifts from the Rock Age to Roman Kingdom to French Rebellion, distributing gags varying from humorous to detestable. Eventually propulsion’s gone, and it all just fibs there, regardless of attempts of a big joke cast. Cast includes Mel Brooks, Gregory Hines, Dam DeLuise, Madeline Kahn, Harvey Korman, Cloris Leachman, Ron Carey, and Barry Levinson. (92 minutes, 1981)

Major League: The Cleveland Indians are just plain bad. This is by design, if the team has bad attendance, the owner can move the team to Miami. This team of misfits is about to surprise everyone.

Darfur Now: Documentary in reference to assorted individuals who are trying to make a variance in strife-ridden Darfur, containing a guy who performs the Planet Chow Design, a attorney who plans to prosecute government officials in the Global Felon Court, a local lady whose personal disaster has led her to become an equipped insurgent, a youthful gentleman from LA who tries to get the state of California to purge itself of Sudanese investments, and performer Don Cheadle, who uses his star and that of buddies like George Clooney to draw focus to the emergency. By trying to find the positive in most of this and appeal to mainstream spectators, this well-made film sacrifices large spiritual impact. (98 minutes, 2007)

XXX: Xander ‘XXX’ Cage has been brought in by NSA agent Gibbons to help him with an urgent matter. He must help the MSA bring down a Russian crime ring, or face jail time. Agent Gibbons needs an unknown person with incredible skill and talent to get inside the organization. Is XXX the right man for the job?

Hanky Panky: Blameless designer Crazier is pursued by snoops, cops, etc. Unsurprising, hardly ludicrous comedy-thriller, with Radner miscast as the love interest. The film was meant to be a follow-up to Mix Insane, although Richard Pryor’s part was revised for Gilda. You’ve seen it all before, and more superior. Cast includes Gene Crazier, Gilda Radner, Kathleen Quinlan, Richard Widmark, Robert Prosky, Josef Sommer, and Johnny Sekka. (88 minutes, 1982)
