Piano Tuition For Beginners
There are many of you who are looking for piano lessons for beginners so these are some questions I frequently get asked by would be pianists or keyboard players.
How long will it take?
A ton of people take up the guitar because after only a little while of learning you’ll be able to get a decent sound and be playing some popular songs. Normally with the piano it takes quite a long time and needs a large amount of hard work before it is possible to be playing recognisable music. Fortunately now there are a few home study courses that use video and audio to teach you piano in multiple styles or genres. These courses train you to play by ear and the way to read music. With these courses you will be playing recognisable music from the start.
What is the cost of piano classes?
Piano lessons with a private teacher can cost anything from $50 to $100 or more for an hour long session. The bulk of teachers offer one on one lessons in their own houses, in a music center or they’ll come to you. Some charge $50 an hour and other people will charge you $200 every month giving you a lesson a week. If you download a home learning course then you’ll get much more than a years worth of lessons for less than $50.
Can’t you find free lessons on the Internet?
Yes, there are free piano classes available at one or two web sites. A lot of them are really basic first steps beginners piano tuition that only cover the initiation into piano playing and don’t go much further. The same can be said for the videos that are found online too… They are going to teach you the fundamentals and not a lot more. There are some videos that teach you a certain song. With many you have got to follow what the person is playing and with others step-by-step directions are given. Although there isn’t any structure to these lessons you should be ale to pick up something from them but it will not be a total training.
