I came across this strange video on a website where out of the woods came Jamie Lynn Spears and boyfriend Casey on a raging ATV. It was rumored that Spears was 6 months pregnant at the time of the footage. Apparently, both parents were not that concerned with the 6 month fetus in the mothers womb. This is definitely a blatant disregard for safety, and responsibility in driving and owning an All Terrain Vehicle. There are laws defining the driving of quads on regular roads, and it is expected of ATV owners to practice safety measures while driving a quad bike to protect themselves, the passengers, and other people on the streets.

As to how safe or dangerous operating an ATV is, is still in dispute as of this moment. Some people point out numerous injuries and accidents linked with quad rides, but these incidents have also been pointed as a result of disregard to safety measures and non compliance of generally accepted security precautions that should have been followed.

In the UK and some countries in the world driving an ATV on the public streets is allowed. As long as you are able to meet certain legal requirements then you are free to take your quad in the highways.

At the top of the list you have to comply with the requirements of the road traffic act of 1988 in terms of road tax, insurance, and MOT.

Furthermore, the driver needs to have a full valid UK car driving license. Apparently, driving the ATV on the streets is not considered childs play by the authorities.

The quad itself needs to comply with all traffic rule requirements. It needs to be equipped with lights, horn, speedometer, road mirrors and mounted on road legal tires. The quad also needs to be registered with the DVLA.

There are many road legal ATV models that one can choose from. At any time, any model, and any terrain, we recommend one very important thing. When on a quad, always wear a helmet.

Driving an ATV may be deemed dangerous by some people, but still, in anything we do, we can be safe if we take into consideration all the safety features and recommendations that have been placed. They are designed for our security, and that includes a 6 month fetus life as well.
