Tip #1: Write Every Day

Studies have shown that after doing something for 21 days consecutively it becomes a natural habit. That means that if you write rap lyrics for 21 days in a row it will be more natural for you to write rap lyrics than not to do it.

So, pick your favorite hip hop artists and actually take some time to study their song lyrics. This will help you understand the patterns and formulas that raps songs are based on.

Tip #3 Implement A Structure Into Your Songs

In every rap song, there is generally a 4 step structure. That structure being an intro, verse, hook, and outro. Pretty much all hip hop songs use that exact same structure. You should also use it to make your songs are structured and sound ‘right’.

Tip #4 Work Your Personality Into Your Songs

As well as having structure to your songs, you want to give them a twist that makes them unique to you. To do this you should write about your personal thoughts, feelings and experiences.

There is no room for shyness if you want to be a success. The more honest and open that you are, the more people will connect with you and end up loving your songs.
