The Community Action Partnership as a Nebraska Craft Fair

In 1965 Lyndon B. Johnson created a program that would address the poverty problem of the community. This program was called the “War on Poverty”. The Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska was created to be part of this program. The society is a community action and non-profit organization that aims to improve the living standards of the poor and disable population of the community.

The Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska is governed by ethic that they follow. The professional members of the society are dedicated in devoting their work and action in improving the poverty problems. They not only gave food and shelter but they made sure that the poor and disabled can provide for themselves.

The organization made sure that the poor would be living in a dignified way by providing for the opportunity to work. Not only do they provide the means to work but also a venue where their cultural heritage can be appreciated. Communication and dialogues were set up between the poor, government offices and private sectors to discuss issues that would affect the poor.

All year round the Community Action Partnership of Mid-Nebraska sponsors activities and festivals for the community. These festivals or craft shows that the organization sponsors are usually a free admission affair. By attending there you will not only enjoy buying the crafts and arts but you will help change someones life for the better.

Together with the Spring Festival Craft Show that will be held at the Buffalo County Fairgrounds, Exhibit Building, Kearney there will also be a Hand-Me-Downs 4 U Consignment Sale. Both of the events will be on April 4 but the sale will be a two day event. The Hand-Me-Downs 4 U Consignment Sale will start on April 4 from 8:00 A.M to 8:00 P.M. and for April 5 the sale will start from 8:00 A.M to 4:00 P.M. The Spring Festival Craft Show will start from 9:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M.
