The Greatest Seven Women’s Tennis Players of the Last 30 Years

Women’s tennis has evolved very much so over the course of the last 30 years or so. It continues to develop into an extremely competitive sport and the bar has been raised some more with each decade.

I was thinking about the best women’s players in the history of the sport, and realized that so many of them happen to be very recent players. It was really hard to make this list, but I’m going to list the seven elite women’s players that come to mind, saving the best for the end.

Coming in at number seven on my list is Venus Williams. In her late 20s now, she’s been in pro tennis for 15 years and she’s simply been phenomenal. With many grand slam wins and a firm grip on Wimbledon, she’s one of the best women to ever play the sport.

After Venus is Justine Henin-Hardenne. I put her ahead of Venus because she was simply better, and won more slams in a shorter span. While she cut her career short, she’s on the way back up now as she’s returned to the sport.

Monica Seles was one of my favorite players growing up, and I’m still saddened by the fact that some deranged man decided to put a knife into her during the match. Her career was never the same after this, but she seriously dominated women’s tennis before this happened.

It’s really hard to put Chris Evert here at four, but that’s how competitive this field is. With 18 career slams, she is simply one of the best to ever play.

Serena Williams has one more grand slam win than sister Venus, and she’s a year younger. This pegs her at number three on my list, and I believe that she’ll win a handful of additional slams through the rest of her career.

At number two is Martina Navratilova, who many might believe is the best woman to ever play the sport. She has an incredible number of grand slams (18) and her career lasted for many years.

Steffi Graf is known to many as the best woman to ever play the sport. It’s hard to argue against these people considering her amazing 22 career grand slam victories.

The writer of this story also writes about the chimney cleaner and the many chimney cleaning tools.
