This Concert Left Me Mesmerized And Wanting To Take An Acoustic Guitar Lesson
The other night, I was sitting at home, not expecting much to happen. I figured I’d watch some TV, eat some potato chips, have a few beers, and call it a night. Then a couple of buddies of mine unexpectedly showed up, telling me that I absolutely had to go with. I couldn’t help but agree, due to their incredible enthusiasm.
Next thing I know we were in my friends Ford Mustang screaming down the freeway at about eighty miles an hour. My friends all seemed to be really excited. They kept playing all these guitar bands on the CD player, as they said it would get us into the mood. At that time, I wasn’t sure where we were going, or what we were trying to get in the mood for.
Finally we pulled up to what looked like an abandoned furniture store. It was in a kind of industrial area, that wasn’t near any houses. The outside seemed dark, and a little bit spooky, to tell you the truth. When we walked inside I was completely amazed.
The inside was immaculate, like you’d expect of club downtown New York or something. They had black shiny paint on all the walls, a couple of bars in the corners, and these really impressive pictures hanging in the corners. Up in front was a stage.
Then, suddenly, without warning, this band shows up on stage, and starts playing the most incredible music I’ve ever heard. It was a cross between modern rock and country. The lead singer, who also played the acoustic guitar, played some exceptional solos that would give Jimmy Page a run for his money. After about three hours, they decided to call it quits.
After about two hours of just pure jamming, the band thanked everybody and left. But not before announcing that their very first CD was going on sale in about two weeks. The entire concert was free, as they were completely happy that they had just signed their first recording contract. After that, my friends took me back home. It was an incredible night.
