What is the best free music downloading program?

Whats the best free music downloading program, I use Limewire now and its alright but some people say it gives you lots of viruses.

So whats a good one that has little virus threat?

Go through the comments before you download anything. That way you are safe.
Soulseek. Limewire is crap.
Itunes is not free…
Limewire is good as long as you have your firewall on and do proper virus scans.. its the only program i use and i’ve never gotten a virus. But you can also try morpheus, ares,kazaa, emule, etc.
Hate to be the one to tell you this, but whether you use limewire, frostwire, bearshare, or whatever name they’ve come up with. They are one and the same. They work the same exact way. PSP, meaning is Timmy computer is infected with a virus and uploaded songs for everyone to download, it means anyone that download any of his songs, they will also get a copy of his virus.
So if you don’t want that to happen to you then you need to use itunes or amazon or one of the other programs that you pay for your song.
And don’t be fooled by limewire pro, that is just a SCAM. It no way makes it legal to download or keeps you safe. All it does is gets rid of all the advertisement. It in no way, has a special scan to tell you what songs are safe to download and what ones aren’t.
My kid sister used it, and it took me two days once to remove an nasty infection.
uTorrent. uTorrent doesnt directly download songs but instead you use whats called bit torrent. Bit torrent is like limewire but you can download mutiple songs even up to gigabytes. You can even download games, movies, well anything you want. Its whats called p2p (Person 2 Person) sharing which is instead of actually downloading something from a saved database you download it off of someone else’s computer. There are many bittorrent sites my favorite is isohunt.

a lot of the files you download from limewire have trojans. and they’re bad for your computer. my computer crashed because of limewire. i’ve downloaded quite a few songs from esnips. try that site…
to be on the safe side, right click on all the files you’ve downloaded and click on scan, if you have a virus scanner installed on your computer.
limewire, the reason why people get viruses from limewire is because they don’t know how to download just make sure the song is a mp3 and the size is 2,000 kb’s or higher
