Green Day? Not on their best day!!
It’s hard to pinpoint a single song but I think that Green Day has some really great lyrics. If I Were You by Hoobastank is also great, in my opinion. Their music isn’t that amazing but a lot of people can relate to their lyrics.
I think the most cleverly written, powerful song that comes to mind is “Thunder Crashes” by LIVE. That song is awesome!

im not sure about green day. i luv all of their songs to death. all very well writen. itd be hard to decide. but the song that describes your life is what is the most cleaverly writen. personaly, i luv how the whole american idiot album is a story. n no im not saying that thats my favorite album. i have not favorites… but i find this album very cleaverly writen because of how its one big story, all about jos… all of their songs are great thow!
