Why People Lose At Online Roulette
Today I’m speaking about online roulette and why most people lose at it. Roulette is the most popular online casino game and anyone that has spent time in an online casino has tried their hand at roulette.
Before I talk about why people lose at online roulette I first need to speak about the house advantage. With European roulette the house edge is 2.56% and with American roulette the house edge is 5.12%
The house edge is built into the layout of the game because of the green slot or in the case of American roulette there are two green slots hence why the house edge is more with the American game.
I will go into a little more detail and stick with European roulette. The house edge is 2.56% so this would mean if you were betting 1 on every single spin over the course of 100 spins you could expect to lose 2.56. This never turns out to be the case though and this is because people play against their odds.
Most online roulette players have a bad habit of increasing their bets after a loss. They do this because if they win with the increased bet it will cover the previous loss and they will still be in profit. This eventually leads to a very big loss and should be avoided.
It may not be very exciting but the best bet that a player can make is to just pick red or black and then just place a flat bet on it on every single spin. If you do this you can expect to lose to the house edge.
The house edge never runs true however in the short term, over 100 spins you will never see the exact same amounts of reds and blacks broken up by a few zeros and this can sometime work in the advantage of the player. If you were just betting on red and over the 100 spins there were more reds than blacks you would find yourself in profit.
This is the best chance of winning. Roulette should be seen as a form of entertainment and not a business, just play with best odds and that is your best chance of winning.
